News Bar does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

What the app does

• Makes outbound HTTPS requests to the public Geo knowledge graph GraphQL endpoint at testnet-api.geobrowser.io to fetch news content.
• Opens story links in your default browser when you click a story card.
• Stores a single local preference flag (Launch at Login) in macOS user defaults on your device. This data never leaves your Mac.

What the app does not do

• Collect personally identifiable information
• Track usage, analytics, or crashes
• Use third-party tracking SDKs
• Display advertising
• Require an account, sign-in, or registration
• Share any information with third parties

Third-party content

News Bar surfaces news content from the Geo knowledge graph. The Geo Graph aggregates news events with their sources, claims, and perspectives. When you click a story, you are redirected to the corresponding story page on Geo News in your default browser.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
